Sarah Featon (1848-1927), accomplished New Zealand botanical artist, painted this watercolour of Hedycarya arborea (also know as porokaiwhiri or pigeon wood). Sarah and husband Edward Featon published New Zealand's first full-colour art book, The Art Album on New Zealand Flora, in 1889, Wellington, for which Sarah Featon created the artwork.
