Discuss - Batch Editing

It would be great if there was a way to batch edit media during the uploading process or after it has been uploaded. Adding or editing existing title, descriptions and tags can be a little time consuming when done one-at-a-time. Is there some type of facility that can be created and utlised to do this?

Of course it can be created. I presume you are thinking something along the lines of Flickr?

I will check with a developer and see how involved the process would be to get something like this in-place.

Does anyone else feel this would be useful?

Yes along those same lines Adan.
Thanks for your response.

What batch operations would you like? Title, tags, region...?

Yes speaking from my own perspective it would be nice to have a facility to edit aspects such as those you suggest
title(s)
description(s)
tag(s)
region(s)
as Adan suggested very much along the same lines as the operations Flickr utilises in its batch editing.

Sorry to be a thicko...

So you would like is a way to make the title the same for all of your currently incomplete/recently uploaded media using just one text box?

Batch editing at the time media is uploaded seems to be, in my opinion., satisfactory.

I think a editing facility that enables users to change titles, descriptions and tags at the time of uploading as well as on the fly (any time after media has been uploaded) is a good thing. I know right now I have to go through the last lot of media I uploaded and add the tag "social documentary" because I inadvertently left it out at the time I uploaded that media. That's seventeen photographs..., something I'm not looking forward to doing one-by-one. It would be fantastic to have a batch editing facility like that of Flickr.

What happens already is, after media has been uploaded, clicking on a tag displays all media associated with that tag. What I'd like to see happen from that point on, is a facility that enables all /or selected media with that tag to be batch edited. While in that editing process, I suggest being able to edit media titles, descriptions and tags would be be useful also.
